IPOH: After years of hard work raising their children, many elderly or ailing parents are opting to spend their twilight years in nursing or old folks’ homes rather than burden them.

Hamidah Nok, 74, who stays at Titian Abadi Muslim Old Folks’ Home (Pekita) in Jalan Lahad, said she didn’t want to burden her childrenwho have their own offspring to care for.
