KUCHING: Tan Sri William Mawan has unofficially retained his Pakan seat with a slim majority of 417 votes.
In a three-cornered fight, the Barisan Nasional direct candidate's closest challenge came from independent candidate Jawie Jingot while DAP's Rinda Juliza Alexander polled less than 300 votes as at 7pm.
