‘Tonto’ menace: JPJ to expand dragnet in Penang, Kedah and Johor

KUALA TERENGGANU: The Road Transport Department (JPJ) will expand its operation dubbed “Ops Cantas Khas Tonto” since it began on April 26 to three other states following its success in routing several organised tonto syndicates.  

Its director-general Datuk Seri Ismail Ahmad said apart from the Klang Valley, Negri Sembilan and Perak - the focus of the operation's first phase which began on April 26  - Penang, Kedah and Johor had also been identified as areas where tonto activities were known to be active.
