PUTRAJAYA: The “tonto” menace is about to be wiped out with the authorities crippling several syndicates based in Perak, Selangor and Negri Sembilan following the arrest of 15 “masterminds”, in a joint operation by the Road Transport Department (JPJ) and the police.
Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said the “Ops Cantas Khas Tonto”, which began on April 26, was a result of three months of planning and intelligence by the two agencies.
