No further action against Phang over SD

Lim Guan Eng

GEORGE TOWN: A decision has been made by the Attorney-General’s Chambers in Putrajaya to close the case against Phang Li Koon for allegedly making a false statutory declaration (SD).

State police chief Datuk Abdul Ghafar Rajab said he was informed by the Deputy Public Prosecutor of the decision which was made about two or three days ago by the chambers.

"It has been classified as No Further Action (NFA), " he told a press conference after the monthly gathering ceremony at the state police headquarters on Wednesday.

There had been several police reports lodged against Phang for making a false SD regarding the sale of her bungalow at below market value to Lim.

Phang had made a statutory declaration a month ago claiming that she had no business dealings with the state government.
