KOTA BARU: Over the past three days, more than 1,000 students of SMK Pengkalan Chepa 2 have been allowed to leave early as a small number of students were still plagued by hysteria.
Parents said yesterday their children were given early dismissals the last three days.
Students sitting for major examinations later this year are complaining that their studies have been affected since the incidents started on April 12.
A Form Five student, who did not want to be named, said he was stressed out in school.
“I am not blaming the school because they have tried their best,” he said, adding that the school has experienced nearly two cases every day over the last three weeks.
It was, however, all quiet at SMK Pengkalan Chepa 1, where there were no reported cases for almost a week. A check at SMK Kemumin – one of the four schools here hit by mass hysteria in recent weeks – showed that there were still occasional happenings but fewer than at SMK Pengkalan Chepa 2.
