> A man flew into a rage when he could not wake his sleeping wife, according to a Kosmo! report.

The 43-year-old was drunk when he returned home in Bahau, Jempol, at about 12.30am.

Unable to rouse his wife, he reached for the blade and pointed it at her.

At this point, the 39-year-old wife woke up, saw him and screamed for help.

Their son rushed into the room and tried to stop him but the man refused to calm down.

Police arrived about five minutes after they were called and found the man still holding the parang and arrested him.

> A seemingly harmless powerbank exploded in a house in Seremban, Harian Metro reported.

Cake seller Azliawati Ahmad Khuzari, 37, said she was resting in her room when she heard a loud noise in the living room.

What she thought was the sound of a pillar collapsing was actually her powerbank, which exploded on the sofa. It also started a small fire.

“I screamed for my husband and we put it out with some water,” she said.

She had no idea how the powerbank exploded – it was not even plugged in.
