Fire destroys room at Kuala Terengganu police HQ


KUALA TERENGGANU: A fire destroyed a room containing documents and old files at the district police headquarters here last night, and forced the evacuation of 58 people held at the lockup.

Police personnel on duty were alert to the fire, which occurred at 10.15pm, Monday, by smoke in the air, said Kuala Terengganu Police chief ACP Idris Abd Rafar.
