Befrienders concerned over rising suicide rate

KOTA KINABALU: With news of three recorded suicides in the city within the past three months, Befrienders Kota Kinabalu has expressed deep concern and a wish to work with the Government and interest groups to address the issue of mental health.

Befrienders Kota Kinabalu chair­­­man Datin Seri Siti Rubiah Abd Samad said they were saddened by the news of the suicides and felt it was important for the Govern­­ment, individuals and others to prioritise mental health.
