Operation against Aedes breeding nets RM44,500 in fines


PETALING JAYA: A total of 17,181 residential premises were inspected and 89 fines issued in the first two days of a nationwide operation to wipe out Aedes breeding, said the Health Ministry.

Homes found to be breeding grounds for mosquitoes were fined a total of RM44,500, with a maximum RM500 slapped on each home, during the operation which began on Monday, said Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
