KUALA LUMPUR: Bukit Aman fully supports the Transport Ministry’s proposal to reduce the fines for certain traffic offences but insists that for serious ones, the fines must remain as they are.
“Examples of serious offences are speeding, beating the red light and cutting queue,” said its Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department director Senior Asst Comm Mahamad Akhir Darus when contacted yesterday.
