KUALA LUMPUR: The Cabinet will make a decision next week whether to extend the three-month moratorium on bauxite mining in Kuantan.

Natural Resources and Environment Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar said he will tabled a report to the Cabinet and the measures that should be taken on the issue.

"I have completed the report and I will announced it at a later date. I will present the papers to the Cabinet," he told reporters after launching the Asia Water Resource 2016 Expo and Forum here on Wednesday.

The moratorium is scheduled to end on April 15.
