SIBU: Parti Amanah Negara president Mohamad Sabu was deported back on the same flight after arriving here Tuesday.

Mohamad, or Mat Sabu (pic), had arrived on a MAS flight at 10.35am with his special officer, Azhar Md. Dali from Kuala Lumpur.

Azhar when contacted said they were not given any reason at the Immigration checkpoint at the airport here except that "it was a directive from the Chief Minister's Office."

"He was flown off on the same flight at 11.15am leaving me behind," said Azhar.

He said they were here to prepare for the upcoming state elections as Amanah planned to field its candidates.

"I will be in Sibu and later probably Bintulu," said Azhar on his programme here. He declined to say anything further.
