MACC nabs man over missing flood repair funds


A religious secondary school in Rantau Panjang closed due to floods that hit the town since Monday.

KOTA BARU: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has arrested a 52-year-old man for siphoning RM330,000 from a project to repair the houses of flood victims in Tanah Merah.

State MACC director Datuk Abd Aziz Aban said at least 50 individuals, including a Datuk and several contractors, will be summoned to help investigations into the case.
