Drugs worth RM235k seized, man caught grinding leaves into powder


GEORGE TOWN: Ketum powder, traditionally popular among villagers in the north and east of the country for its psychotropic effects, is now sought after overseas.

Police seized 2.8-tonne of ketum powder worth about RM235,000 for delivery via courier services to the United States, Ukraine, Canada and Indonesia, from a house in Datuk Keramat on Wednesday.
