Joint water, IWK bill makes debut


Minister of Energy, Green Technology and Water, Datuk Seri Maximus Ongkili has been tasked by the Cabinet to decide on the date for invoking Wasia, to enable the Federal Government to take over the water assets in Selangor.

LABUAN: An integrated or single billing system for water supply and sewage services has been introduced here.

The system is expected to be expanded to Putrajaya and the states serviced by Indah Water Konsortium (IWK) within six months to a year, said Energy, Green Technology and Water Minister Datuk Seri Dr Maximus Ongkili.
