PADANG BESAR: Nine months after the gruesome discovery of mass graves and campsites in Wang Kelian, the border crossing is now a sleepy town, but according to locals, it is now safer with the strong police presence.
The border town which fronts Wang Prachan town in Satun province, Thailand was once a bustling place until April last year when the practice of allowing free border crossings for a 1km radius on weekends was rescinded.
