PETALING JAYA: The wearing of seatbelts by the driver and front passenger can reduce cases of death and severe injury by almost 50%, a study by the Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research (Miros) has found.
The fatality rate would go down by 44% if rear passengers put on the seatbelt.
