Ahmad Bashah chairs Kedah exco meeting for first time


The new Kedah exco at a meeting chaired by Ahmad Bashah for the first time.

ALOR SETAR: Kedah Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah is chairing the state executive councillor (exco) meeting for the first time at Wisma Darul Aman here Monday morning.

He arrived at his office as early as 8am in preparation for the meeting that began at 9am.

Ahmad Bashah is the state's 12th mentri besar, after taking his oath of office on Feb 4, replacing his predecessor Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir.

All reappointed exco members, namely Dr Ku Abdul Rahman Ku Ismail (Guar Chempedak), Datuk Suraya Yaacob (Sg Tiang), Datuk Tajul Urus Mat Zain (Tanjong Dawai), Datuk Badrol Hisham Hashim (Kuala Nerang), Datuk Tajudin Abdullah (Belantik) and Datuk Norsabrina Mohd Noor (Bandar Baharu), Datuk Mohd Rawi Abdul Hamid (Ayer Hangat), Datuk Aminuddin Omar (Jitra) and Datuk Dr Leong Yong Kong (Gurun) attended the meeting.

They were sworn-in as the exco new line-up on Feb 22, at Istana Anak Bukit before Kedah Regency Council chairman Tan Sri Tunku Sallehuddin ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah.

All the Exco members were seen in a happy mood.

Also present at the exco meeting were state secretary Datuk Bakar Din, state legal advisor Datuk Nor Azura Mohamed Zohdi and state financial officer (Pegawai Kewangan Negeri Kedah) Datuk Sepiah Isa.
