PKR reps sacked from GLCs over reclamation project


GEORGE TOWN: Two Penang PKR assemblymen who abstained from voting on a land reclamation motion tabled by Umno at the state assembly in November, have been sacked from the state government-linked companies (GLCs).

Bukit Tengah assemblyman Ong Chin Wen, who is also the Penang PKR whip, lost his director’s post in investPenang (principal investment promotion agency) and Island Golf Properties Bhd, a subsidiary company of Penang Development Corporation.
