Ahmad Bashah: Kedah Regency Council approves new exco line-up

KUALA NERANG: The Kedah Regency Council has consented to the new state executive council line-up scheduled to be sworn in on Monday.  

Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah said the proposed line-up was presented to the council at the 240th meeting of the Conference of Rulers in Kuala Lumpur last Wednesday.  

"The line-up, however, will only be announced on Feb 22 (Monday), so you have to wait until that day," he told reporters after visiting the fire-ravaged Sekolah Menengah Agama As-Siddiqiah at Padang Kerasak, Naka here Friday.  

The swearing-in ceremony will take place before Kedah Council Regency chairmanTan Sri Tunku Sallehuddin Ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah at Istana Anak Bukit here.  

On the fire incident, Ahmad Bashah said he would ask state-owned government-linked companies (GLCs) to help rebuild the religious school. - Bernama
