JOHOR BARU: The annual traditional Chingay procession will retain its original route along Jalan Wong Ah Fook in the heart of the city despite the ongoing Sungai Segget rejuvenation project.

State Tourism, Domestic Trade and Consumerism executive council chairman Datuk Tee Siew Kiong said in view of the ongoing constructions which took up about one-third of the main road, security would be stepped up to ensure the safety of the public and procession participants.
