PETALING JAYA: The Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD) is initiating legal action against an express bus operator over the alleged assault of a passenger by a driver during a journey from Malacca to Penang on Jan 25.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the commission said that it had concluded its investigation into the case and is set to take legal action against the bus operator for breeching its operator’s licence conditions, which include the “failure to ensure that the bus driver behaves and acts in an ethical manner”.
