Police mobilising road safety 'strike teams' during CNY period

SUBANG JAYA: Police are mobilising highway "strike teams" in three southern states in a bid to reduce the number of road deaths during the Chinese New Year season.

The teams will be operational in accident-prone areas in Negri Sembilan, Malacca and Johor, and will focus on pulling errant motorists off the road and even arresting them if they flout traffic laws.
