JOHOR BARU: After more than 15 years of spending Chinese New Year by herself, 66-year-old Tan Ah Kim is delighted to spend it with her friends this year.

The senior citizen, who used to clean and wash glasses at a karaoke centre here, said she usually spent the festive season on her own in her rented room as she had no relatives.
