PETALING JAYA: More undercover or plainclothes policemen are needed to deal with the rampant snatch theft cases across the country, said Malaysia Crime Prevention Foundation (MCPF) vice-chairman Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye.
He said authorities must find effective ways to combat the problem as such cases had become a serious threat to public safety, especially among women.
