KUALA LUMPUR: Four men, believed to be responsible for several robbery cases in Kajang, were detained Saturday when the car they were travelling in was stopped at a roadblock mounted by the police.

Kajang district police chief ACP Willey Richard (pic) said the incident occurred about 3.30am after police stopped and conducted a search on the car, which was being driven in a suspicious manner.

During the search, police found two machetes, an axe and masks which were wrapped in a grey sweater, he said when contacted.

He believed the arrest of the four suspects would help police solve several house break-ins and robbery cases reported in the Kajang district. - Bernama
