Thousands stand in line to shave their heads as an act of sacrifice

GEORGE TOWN: A father and son from Singapore were among thousands of devotees who joined in the Thaipusam ritual in the hope of being granted a boon.

Technical manager D. Srinivasan, 42, and his only child S. Prajarin, eight, travelled here to fulfil the ritual by shaving their heads bald in Waterfall Road.
