PETALING JAYA: Poor management of a street dog plan by the local councils is one of the main reasons why canine welfare groups like Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better (MDDB) have to conduct adoption drives every week.

MDDB adoption coordinator Christine Lai said it is time local councils realise their current method of catching stray dogs and culling them is ineffective and a waste of money.
