Alvivi trial: No race riots caused by bak kut teh picture, court told

KUALA LUMPUR: No racial clashes - directly related to the photo of Alvivi inviting Muslims to break fast with bak kut teh - have occurred since the image was posted on Facebook, the Sessions Court heard.

Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) officer Akmal Hamdy Baharudin agreed when cross-examined by Vivian Lee May Ling's (pic) defence counsel Chong Joo Tian that feedback to the picture posted since 2013 were mostly Malay and Chinese commenters directing their displeasure at the sex blogger duo, and not at each others' racial groups.
