Earthquakes strike Indonesia and Taiwan

KUALA LUMPUR: Two moderate earthquakes, measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale, struck Yungkang, Taiwan, and Halmahera, Indonesia, early Tuesday, according to the Meteorological Services Department.   

It said in a statement that the quake in Halmahera, 180km northwest of Sorong, struck at 3.21am while that in Yungkang hit at 10.13am. - Bernama
