Felda boy makes history by skiing across Antarctica

PETALING JAYA: Felda-born Shah­rom Abdullah has created history after completing a 890km solo skiing expedition in 37 days and four hours.

The 36-year-old, from Felda Chiku, Gua Musang, Kelantan, reached the zero degree point of the South Pole at 5.30pm local time on Friday or 4.30am Malaysian time yesterday. He started his expedition on Dec 9 from the starting point of Messner Inlet.
