GEORGE TOWN: Twenty hawkers here face having their licences revoked after being slapped with notices by the Penang Island City Council (MBPP) for violating the statewide ban on hiring foreign cooks.
The notice required them to explain why they violated the ban which was enforced on Jan 1, said MBPP Licensing Committee alternate chairman Ong Ah Teong.
