‘We’ll act immediately’


KUALA LUMPUR: The Education Ministry has promised to take immediate action on cases of undocumented Malaysian children being denied admission into public schools.

Its secretary-general Datuk Seri Dr Khair Mohamad Yusof said under a 2009 ministry circular, Malaysian children who do not have identity documents can enrol in government and government-aided schools.
