Traffic flow on most major highways still slow

KUALA LUMPUR: Traffic flow on several major highways was reported to be slow at 5pm Sunday due to the increasing number of vehicles heading for the federal capital after the long holidays for the Maulidur Rasul and Christmas celebrations.

A spokesman of the Plus Expressways Sdn Bhd Traffic Control Centre said the traffic volume from the north moved slowly in Sungai Petani Utara heading towards Sungai Petani Selatan; Changkat Jering up to Bukit Berapit, the Sungai Perak Rest and Service Area to the Menora Tunnel; Ipoh to Simpang Pulai; Gopeng to Tapah; and Bukit Beruntung to Sungai Buaya.
