GEORGE TOWN: Police are to step up monitoring of churches in Penang to ensure the safety of worshippers during Christmas Day on Friday and New Year's Day next week.
Penang police chief Datuk Seri Abdul Rahim Hanafi said they had visited the houses of worship in the state.
