KUALA LUMPUR: Two men who allegedly stabbed a television station stage manager, following a fight about a pet dog, have been arrested and remanded.
The 33-year-old victim, however, remains in critical condition at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL) while police look for about six more suspects who may have been involved in the Friday condominium brawl in Setapak.
KL CID chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Zainuddin Ahmad said that the two men, both aged 25 and unemployed, were picked up in the area on Saturday afternoon and have been remanded until Dec 23 for investigations.
The incident, which occurred on Friday night, was sparked by an argument between the victim and his female tennant at the condominium along Jalan Usahawan.
The point of contention, according to police, was that the female tenant had brought a dog into the house and had angered the victim.
The woman rents a room next to the victim.
Wangsa Maju OCPD Supt Mohd Roy Suhaimi Sarif said the victim was arguing with the female tennant's boyfriend regarding the dog, when the woman showed up at his apartment with about seven more people at about 11.30pm.
A brawl ensued, with the suspects ganging up on the victim as security guards tried to break up the fight.
One of the suspects then allegedly stabbed the man in the chest and his back.
