SEREMBAN: Vaping, or the use of e-cigarettes, is banned in all government schools with immediate effect.Apart from students, the ruling also applies to parents, teachers as well as school staff members and anyone entering the 10,100 government schools nationwide.

They are also barred from bringing in vapes or e-cigarettes into the school compound.

Education Ministry deputy director-general Datuk Ahmad Tajudin Jab said the authorities had to adopt this drastic measure following reports of students indulging in the unhealthy habit.
