PETALING JAYA: Former staff member at the Malaysian High Commission in New Zealand Muhammad Rizalman Ismail said he believed in black magic but denied defecating outside the home of the woman he assaulted, to put a spell on her.
Rizalman, then a second warrant officer, also told a High Court in Wellington yesterday that a superior officer – an uncle who was a shaman – had put a spell on him.
