Three vessels detained over illegal oil transfer


The MT Atami Maru vessel registered in San Lorenzo, Argentina was seen transferring diesel to two other vessels.

KOTA TINGGI: Three vessels have been detained by the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) off the waters of Pengerang here for allegedly conducting illegal oil transfers.

MMEA Tanjung Sedili enforcement chief Capt Amran Daud said that patrolling officers spotted the vessels at around 9.15am Sunday at 3.4 nautical miles southeast of Teluk Ramunia here.
