BALIK PULAU: A tuition teacher will go on trial for three days from Dec 16 to a charge of performing oral sex on one of his pupils.
The Sessions Court here yesterday fixed the dates for the trial of Mohd Amin Nur Izwan Jamaluddin after giving him a discharge not amounting to an acquittal (DNAA) to two other similar charges.
Mohd Amin, 21, was originally charged with three counts of performing oral sex on three pupils, all boys aged 12, between February and May 13 this year at a flat in Bayan Baru here.
Judge Sitarun Nisa Abdul Aziz granted him the DNAA after Deputy Public Prosecutor Edward Chan had suggested that the cases be heard separately and to wait for the outcome of the first case before proceeding with the other two.
Mohd Amin is a full-time administrative assistant in a primary school.
He faces up to 15 years in jail and whipping if convicted under Section 377E of the Penal Code for inciting a child to perform sexual acts.
