Sultan Nazrin: Embrace New Silk Road initiative

Instead of diminishing the strategic alliance of the United States and its allies especially Japan in its near seas, it has expanded as well as entrenched their presence further. - Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah

PETALING JAYA: South-East Asian and European countries situated along China’s New Silk Road development initiative should welcome and participate in the venture as it is in their best interests to do, said the Sultan of Perak.

In his Royal Address at the Seventh World Chinese Economic Summit in London yesterday, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah said it was up to the countries of both regions to ensure that participation was for mutual benefit on mutually acceptable terms.
