KUALA LUMPUR: The Health Ministry is mulling over the idea of introducing excise duty for e-cigarettes and vapes to reduce the number of smokers in the country.
“If cigarettes are charged excise duty, it can be too for e-cigarettes. We are looking at it legally,” said Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr S. Subramaniam at Parliament lobby yesterday.
