Clean up ongoing, highway still closed between Gopeng and Tapah

The trailer, which was transporting the tank, two safety valves on the tank were found to leak the gas.

IPOH: The operation to clean up Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) residue from a leaking tanker lorry at KM311 of the North-South Expressway between Tapah and Gopeng is still ongoing.

Perak Fire and Rescue Department director Yahya Madif said authorities had been alerted to the leakage at 8.55am, Wednesday and the process to empty the gas residue from the tank had been completed earlier.
