KOTA KINABALU: The stage is set for Arthur Kurup to take over as president of Parti Bersatu Rakyat Sabah (PBRS) if his father Tan Sri Joseph Kurup decides to retire before the next general election.
The 33-year-old Arthur was elected party deputy president when incumbent deputy Datuk Ellron Angin, a state assistant minister, failed to get the required 50% of the nominations from the 23 divisions.
