PETALING JAYA: Noviatin Syarifuddin drew inspiration from her impoverished upbringing to become the first Sabahan student from her faculty to win the Royal Education Award from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.
With a CGPA of 3.74, she topped the award’s Bumiputra category and graduated with a first class honours degree in Anthropology and Sociology at UKM’s 43rd convocation yesterday.
