Man gets 27 years’ jail, 78 strokes for impersonating PMO officer


JOHOR BARU: A 34-year-old man was sentence to 27 years' jail and 78 strokes of the cane by a magistrate's court here on Monday for cheating and for impersonating a special secretary from the Prime Minister's Office (PMO).

Mohd Ridzuan Alias pleaded guilty to all 79 charges read out to him under Section 419 and Section 420 of the Penal Code for impersonating and cheating respectively.
