KUALA LUMPUR: As of September, 354,874 persons with disabilities are registered with the Welfare Department, covering seven categories of disability.
Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Rohani Abdul Karim (pic) said these included those with learning disabilities (126,511 individuals); physical (121,175); vision (31,756); hearing (29,061); mental (28,282); speech (1,736) and various other problems (16,353).
