KUALA LUMPUR: Confinement ladies are in demand and there is no fear of retrenchment in this line of work. Homemakers with a love for babies can consider becomeing confinement ladies. According to Wanita MCA’s research, hiring a pui yuet can cost between RM3,500 and RM5,500, much more if they are willing to work in Singapore.
The wing is collaborating with Taiwan’s Chung Chou University of Science and Technology on a 10-day course to train confinement nannies. The course will be held at the Confucian Secondary School in Kuala Lumpur between Nov 17 and 26.
