Malacca CM renews Japanese links at casual meeting

MALACCA: It was just a casual meeting between Chief Minister Datuk Seri Idris Haron and businessman Dr Siraj Khan at a charity event here but there was an unusual element about it. They were conversing with each other in the Japanese language. The two men are alumni of separate Japanese universities.

Idris and Maslow Training and Consultancy chief executive officer Dr Siraj met for the first time at the chief minister’s official residence of Seri Bendahara in Ayer Keroh on Tuesday night. During the meeting they were suprised to find out that both had pursued their tertiary education in Japanese universities in the 1990s.
